refunds & cancellation

Cancelling
You can cancel a subscription at any time, from inside the app, in about three taps. Nobody will try to talk you out of it, there is no retention flow, and there is no "are you sure you want to lose everything" screen. That kind of thing is a guilt mechanic, and we do not build those.
When you cancel, you stay entitled until the end of the period you already paid for. We do not cut you off at the moment you press the button — you bought the month, you get the month.
Where you cancel depends on where you paid
- Apple (App Store): Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Apple owns the billing relationship for in-app purchases and we genuinely cannot cancel it for you.
- Google (Play Store): Play Store → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
- Card / UPI / PayPal on the web: in the app, under Settings → Subscription. We handle it directly.
If you cancel with Apple or Google, you may also want to tell us, so that we can help if something goes wrong. But you do not have to.
Refunds
Subscriptions. If you are unhappy, write to us at [email protected] within 14 days of a charge and we will refund it. We will ask why, because we would like to know, but we will not make the refund conditional on you answering.
After 14 days, we refund on a case-by-case basis and we lean toward saying yes — particularly if something on our side broke, if you were charged after cancelling, or if you were charged for a period you did not use.
Purchases through Apple or Google. These go through the store, not through us. Apple: reportaproblem.apple.com. Google: Play Store → Order history → Report a problem. If the store refuses and you think that is unfair, write to us anyway — we can sometimes fix it from our side, and we will tell you honestly if we cannot.
Sparks. Unused Spark packs are refundable within 14 days. Sparks you have already spent are not, because they were converted into something that cost us real money the moment you used it — an image was generated, a voice clip was synthesised, a deep-model turn was run.
We will tell you the price of a thing before you buy it, every time, so that this line never comes as a surprise.
Statutory rights
EU / UK. You have a 14-day right of withdrawal on a digital subscription. By starting to use a subscription immediately you agree that the service begins during that period; you keep the right to withdraw, and we will refund pro-rata for what you did not use.
India. Nothing here limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act 2019.
Whatever the small print in this document says, your statutory rights win. If a paragraph above ever conflicts with the law where you live, the law where you live is correct and this paragraph is not.
A failed payment does not cut you off
If a card bounces, your subscription enters a grace period rather than being revoked. You keep your entitlements while we retry.
Cutting a paying customer off mid-scene because a bank had a bad afternoon turns a billing blip into a churned user, and it is a rotten thing to do to someone in the middle of a conversation.
What you are never charged for
Regenerate. Continue. Edit. Rewind. Branch. Memory. Your chat history.
These are free on every tier including Free, and there is therefore nothing here to refund — which is the point.
